Super simple tofu. Roy and I have this 2 – 10 a week. =)

  • 1 block extra firm tofu
  • 2 Tbs Oil
  • Salt
  • Soy Sauce

  1. Slice up the tofu into 1/16ths, then into triangles.
  2. Heat up 2 Tbs of oil in a pan on the stove.
  3. Fry up four pieces of tofu at a time. Sprinkle with a little bit of salt. Flip when the tofu is golden brown.
  4. Eat with some soy sauce and maybe some brown rice.

I know you guys come here just to see the fat orange cat that chills with my while I take photos. So, here he is. <3

Food Photography Cat

Madhu - I am going insane over here looking at how kitty is incorporated in all your recipe posts!!!

Mandee - Hehe, vegans do love cat photos! My cats are usually waiting just out of the shot, waiting for me to abandon the food so they can grab it.

mandi white - I love your fat orange cat but I also love your photos! And I forgot tofu at the store today. I also forgot a potato. So I’ll be getting it soon :) It’s so simple and I bet I’m going to fall in love with it.

Susan - This looks so good. Just the sort of thing I have been looking for to take for a snack to work!
I like your kitty. :)

Jojo - The tofu looks great & your kitty is ridiculously cute.

vkrees - Coldandsleepy, wow, that is some serious tofu devotion! I have to cook mine. =)

vkrees - Jd, you’ve made my day =) I would absolutely love to photograph your wedding!

vkrees - Thanks Kelly! =)

kelly - This tofu looks delicious! But I’m really drooling over the photography. Just gorgeous. Love.

jd - I’m so glad that you left a comment on my blog, because it brought me to yours!

First, only photographs this gorgeous could make me want to devour a heap of tofu (I’m not a fan, no matter how hard I try!).

Second, I spent some time browsing through your pictures, and they are absolutely gorgeous. The wedding photos, in particular, are really moving. I’m awed by how you were able to capture the emotions of the moment in such original and creative ways…

Third, I’m so happy to see that you’re in Brooklyn! When it finally comes time for my BF and I to tie the knot, I definitely know who to call for photos :)

coldandsleepy - Come for the cute cat, stay for the tasty looking tofu!

I could eat simply prepared tofu more or less constantly if only I wasn’t too lazy to even simply prepare it. Sometimes I just eat it raw dipped in soy sauce because really… it’s one less step.
